So How Does Rate My App Work?
1. First you need to join our RateMyApp panel by filling out the form below. We need your PayPal account email so we can reimburse you for the cost of the app. We need your iTunes nickname** so we can prove it was you.
2. Start reviewing apps! There is always a list of apps available for review here (link to the available apps page). Plus we will send out a “RateMyApp Alert!” email whenever we have a new app.
3. Use the app, play with the app – then leave your honest written comments & rating in iTunes.
4. Email us once you have left a review (you can reply to the RateMyApp Alert email – or you can always email liz@appency.com).
5. Once we have verified your review – we will reimburse you the cost of the app(s) via PayPal. And after every five reviews – you will receive a $10 iTunes gift card!

Q: Why don’t you accept download codes instead of the cost per app requirement?
A: We can only validate that a user has reviewed your app when the
review appears in the app store. If we gave them a coupon code first,
and they went and downloaded your app, but did not leave a review… we
would have no way to get that code back.
Q: Can I select what countries I get reviews in?
A: Currently RateMyApp is only available for the US market. If you
would like to be notified when our markets expand, please send us an email!
Q: Is this ethical? Isn’t it AstroTurffing?
A: Astroturfing is the practice of paying for biased reviews
intended to look like they are reviews from regular consumers. Appency
does not condone the practice of AstroTurfing by any means. The people
reviewing the apps are real, unpaid, unbiased consumers who are not
employees of Appency. We do not promise that your reviews will be
positive ones (frankly, we find that to be pretty unethical) so when
submitting your app for review, make sure it is bug free and ready for
the big leagues.
Q: What makes RateMyApp different from other review services?
A: A few things, thanks for asking! At RateMyApp, we don’t just post
apps and wait for people to come and download them. We have an active
list of hundreds of iPhone enthusiasts that we can blast your app out
to in order to get your reviews in place as quickly as possible. We
also provide something no one else does – demographic information on
your reviewers! Want to know if your app is doing well with men, ages
18-30? We can tell you that. Parents with children? We can tell you
that too! If you have a specific demographic request, please let us
know when you submit your app for rating.
